Rahim assumed the role of Chief Finance Officer and Chief Strategy Officer as of 1 October 2024. He is accountable for Infineum’s financial standing and framework, as well as our strategic direction as we transform into a sustainable specialty chemicals company with industry leading Customer Experience.
During his career, Rahim has acquired extensive expertise in public accounting, investment banking and trading. He began his professional journey at KPMG in San Francisco as an auditor. He then moved on to Merrill Lynch where he spent time in investment banking specializing in mergers and acquisitions and equity offerings, as well as in trading including running Structured Finance at Merrill Lynch Commodities. In 2011, Rahim joined Shell’s Mergers and Acquisitions team in Houston. He subsequently managed finance teams in Trading & Supply, covering European Gas & Power, Global Crude and Global Products & Operations, eventually taking the role of SVP Finance for Chemicals & Products.
When not working, Rahim spends much of his time trying to keep up with his two daughters, who rarely sit still when awake. He holds degrees in business from The University of Texas at Austin and law from Harvard Law School.
