Infineum Singapore volunteers bring joy to senior citizens

Community Outreach - 29 August 2024

Thirteen Infineum Singapore employees volunteered at the Fei Yue Active Ageing Centre (Senja) recently, where they engaged 28 senior citizens in various fun and meaningful activities. The event was part of Infineum’s community engagement initiative, which aims to deliver a positive impact in the communities where we operate.

The volunteers were flexible and attentive to the needs and preferences of the senior citizens, who came from different backgrounds and had different levels of mobility. They organised a party with dancing, cup games, singing and birthday celebrations. The senior citizens expressed their enjoyment and appreciation for the interaction and companionship.

Yap Seok Chen, leader of the community engagement initiatives in Singapore, said: “It was really heart-warming to see colleagues coming together to contribute their time and talent. We’re proud to work towards our sustainability goal of making a positive impact in our local community.”

Yeo Meow Hoong, Senior Executive, Fei Yue Active Ageing Centre, said: “The volunteers planned the party for the group well, creating meaningful connections. The senior citizens felt they did a wonderful job! We would love to have Infineum back for more volunteering opportunities.”
