Sustainability Report 2022

As Aldo Govi takes over as CEO of Infineum, we are pleased to announce the publication of our Third Annual Sustainability report. This is one of the many ways we live our purpose to create a sustainable future through innovative chemistry.

We aim to lead our industry on this exciting journey, taking a collaborative approach and engaging on sustainability with our customers and colleagues, suppliers, shareholders, and communities. Together, we can help maintain our quality of life as human beings, retain the diversity of life on Earth and enable the Earth’s ecosystems to thrive.

The report shares our 2022 performance with some key highlights such as a 14% reduction in scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions intensity since 2018. We also continued to carry out sustainability evaluations on our full product portfolio and increased the share of relevant supplier spend covered by sustainability assessments to 58%. The number of colleagues volunteering increased to 16% of the organisation, taking us closer to our 2025 aim of 25% of the organisation.

Finally, we defined our net zero ambition and decarbonisation roadmaps which allowed us to announce our net zero ambition this year.

I am pleased with our achievements and excited by the momentum we are gathering, but there is more to do as we accelerate Infineum’s evolution into a sustainable world-class specialty chemicals company.

Jacquie Berryman appointed as VLS Chair

Jacquie Berryman, Infineum’s EMEA Industry Liaison Advisor, has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Verification of Lubricant Specifications (VLS).
